Protection for LGBTQI students in the UNC System

Activate! The North Carolina Advocacy Coalition has a new website up and running… and we aren’t wasting any time in getting started on addressing important issues.

A new resource was just released today: Sexual Orientation & Gender-identity non-discrimination protection in the UNC System.

Did you know that only 10 of the 16 institutions of higher education in the UNC System protect individuals on the basis of sexual orientation? Did you know that none of the 16 campuses protect on the basis of gender-identity? Did you know that none of the historically black colleges and universities (HBCUs) protect on the basis of sexual orientation or gender-identity?
