After a bunch of hair-raising technological difficulties last night… I’m back on internet that is more than dial up. I’m at my mom’s house for the summer and all that she had was dial up. At one time, when I was in high school, we had DSL from Bellsouth and we still had the modem. So, we signed up for it last night. It wasn’t easy though, mainly because we couldn’t find the hardware disk for the modem. I had to go online (dial up mind you… at 56k or less) to download the software from the Bellsouth site and then install it manually. THEN… I had to wait until this morning when I got up for the DSL to actually be connected on our phone line. Good news is… Its working now. YAY. No more dial up!
